After a road trip along sometimes unsurfaced roads and a subsequent boat ride along canal and lagoon you arrive at this tranquil almost magical location of bungalows. The amount of animals and birds in the locality was amazing – sloths, monkeys, snakes, frogs,spiders, crocodile, cayman and a huge array of birds

The property is absolutely beautiful! All the tents are clean and nice with bathrooms and showers with electricity. The food is great and authentic Costa Rican dishes. Also, the staff are wonderful and will meet all of your needs. When we went hiking we saw many types of wildlife: birds, monkeys, spiders and frogs.

If you want a true nature experience away from the tourist crowds, but want to enjoy comfortable accommodations and great food you should spend a few days out at Lirio Lodge. We had a fantastic three days in a beautiful setting. Our friendly guide, Rafael, was exceptional in his knowledge of every detail of the natural world.
